Today, 11th May, 2016, Resident doctors all over Nigeria will embark on a 5-day warning strike as a way of expressing their dissatisfaction over the manner federal government is treating the issues they tabled before it.
The issues in question include unpaid salaries and disengagement of some resident doctors from the residency program.
It is pertinent that AMLSN and NUAHP should use these 5 days of warning strike of resident doctors

injustice, Medical Lab. Scientists(MLS) all over Nigeria heaved a big sigh of
relief when soon after the inception of President Buhari’s administration, the
Federal Government (FG), through the Head of Civil Service of the Federation(HOCSF)
released the much awaited circular approving the implementation of Enhanced Entry

Post-NYSC Medical Laboratory Scientists Patiently Await EEP Implementation
Post-NYSC Medical Lab. Scientists all over Nigeria are patiently awaiting the implementation of their Enhanced Entry Point (EEP) Circular which has since been released by the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation on 11th June, 2015.
The EEP circular was finally released by the said office
about a year after the circular for proper placement of Intern Medical Lab.
Scientists was released on 27th July, 2014. The essence of the EEP for post-NYSC
Medical Lab. Scientists is to maintain the relative seniority between them and
the interns who have rightly been placed on CONHESS 8: 2 to bring them at par
with their sister health professionals running the same 5-year program in the
university.
