CORRECTED VERSION OF INTERNS' ENTRY POINT RELEASED!

It is heart-warming to learn that the corrected version of entry point for intern Medical Laboratory Scientists has been released by office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This corrected version of the interns' entry point has already been implemented in most federal health establishments. The implementation is meant to also spread to State and Local government health institutions.

AMLSN, ANAMBRA STATE TO INAUGURATE NEW CHAPTER

AMLSN, Anambra State Branch will inaugurate a new chapter known as Idemili Chapter during its 5th State Assembly on Thursday, 19th February, 2015, at Immaculate Heart Hospital (School of Medical Laboratory Technology Building), Nkpor. The new chapter will be the 8th in Anambra Branch of AMLSN.

Men and women of goodwill are called upon to be part of this effort geared towards building a befitting secretariat for AMLSN, Anambra State Chapter, at Awka, the State's capital.

THE AGM AND THE ELECTION

The AMLSN’s 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM)/Scientific Conference cum Golden Jubilee Celebration has come and gone.  The AGM which held between Monday, 3^rd November and Friday, 7^th November, 2014 at Jojein Hotels and Resort Centre, in Akure, Ondo State(visit  http://www.jojeinhotelsandresort.com) was well attended by over 1,300 Medical Laboratory Scientists from within Nigerian borders and beyond.

Present at the AGM were many of the elders of the profession including Professor Dennis Agbonlahor (a former V.C. of Ambrose Ali, University, Ekpoma, Edo State and Former National President of AMLSN), Elder Chief Dunstan Ikem Tabansi (the oldest MLS alive), Mr. Manassen;  to mention but a few.

NAUTH INTERNS' SEND OFF

AMLSN NAUTH SENDS OFF HER 2013/2014 INTERNS IN A SOLEMN MANNER

Their journey started on 2nd October, 2013. Sixty seven(67) names were shortlisted out of which 63 young scientists finally reported for their compulsory one year internship program-the highest number of interns NAUTH has ever had in its history.

God kept all these interns safe and sound until their internship program came to an end on 26th September, 2014.

As is customary, AMLSN NAUTH, under the chairmanship of Lady Anuli Agbasi(JP), organized a send off event for the interns. Prices were also presented to the 3 best interns in the occasion.

The interns on their own also organized a farewell party for themselves which took place at Lennox Garden Hotel Ltd, Nnewi. More awards were given at the party too.
